Overview
Otorhinolaryngology (Ear, Nose, and Throat or ENT) is a core surgical specialty in medical education that trains students to diagnose, manage, and surgically treat disorders of the head and neck. It covers essential physiological functions, including hearing, balance, swallowing, speech, and breathing. Because up to a quarter of primary care consultations involve ENT symptoms, mastering this subject is critical for both future general practitioners and aspiring surgeons.
