General Medicine (also known as Internal Medicine) is the central foundation of clinical medical education that trains students to diagnose, manage, and prevent the full spectrum of non-surgical adult diseases. It requires students to integrate basic sciences—like physiology, pharmacology, and pathology—to solve complex clinical puzzles, often involving patients with multiple chronic illnesses.
