Overview
Psychiatry bridges clinical neuroscience and behavioral science in medical education. It teaches medical students to diagnose, treat, and prevent mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Unlike other specialties, it places a heavy emphasis on the intersection of biological factors, psychological dynamics, and social determinants of health.
